As seen on our T.V. screens Thailand is in the grip of severe flooding. Whilst South Thailand where the Callows live and work has not been affected they have been saddened by the news of the deaths of Thai Christians – in particular one a member of a church planting team and another a church elder from Central Thailand. As well, a number of missionaries in that area have had to leave their flooded homes.

OMF has instigated a response to this disaster and we are being encouraged as a church fellowship to be part of that response. Please remember to pray for the families who have lost so much. And pray about the finances needed to even begin to help alleviate the devastation to homes and churches. Contributions may be made by using any envelope marking it clearly for the Thailand Flood and placing it in the offering bag any Sunday in November.

The distribution of these gifts will be supervised by the missionaries themselves as they will be very ‘hands on’ in helping to relieve the distress of flood victims demonstrating Christ’s love for the Thai people.
